CHENA ART GALLERY
Art as an investment and an experience.
Chena is an art gallery focused on community projects to improve sustainability and push development in emerging economies through the arts. It conducts exhibitions, auctions, and many programs (such as “Chena Heritage”, “Art of Impact”, and “Artist in Residence” programs). Art has impact and can contribute materially to development and so Chena conducts impact assessments around communities and tells stories of art along the way.

ZEELA ART GALLERY AND HOMESTAY
'Zeela' is a mambwe word meaning 'a place of tall trees'
With its roots in the passion for Nature, Culture and Art, Zeela is a private collection of Zambian artworks owned by the Salasini family.Theyhave been collecting art for over 20 years, and Zeela is now home to around 450 pieces of Zambian art in the form of paintings and sculptures. In 2017, the Salasini family decided to share their passion for art by opening Zeela to the public.
Zeela is a space for learning, knowledge sharing and spiritual reflection tucked away in the miombo woodlands of New Kasama.Art is a big part of Tourism, as it tells a story of the Zambian people and their cultural heritage.

ELEPHANT ORPHANGE - in Lusaka National Park and Lusaka Collective for local crafts in the tourist centre.
The Elephant Orphanage remains GRI’s primary project with an Elephant Nursery in Lusaka and a Release Facility in Kafue National Park, where the orphans are gradually reintegrated back into the wild. In May 2023, GRI merged with Zambia Primate Project to ensure primates impacted by humans, specifically in the illegal, domestic wildlife and bushmeat trade, are given a second chance for life back in the wild.

KABWATA CULTURAL VILLAGE
Kabwata Cultural Village is located in the residential area of Kabwata. You will find wooden key chains, copper items, pottery and more directly from local craftsmen. Unlike Comesa and Sowetomarkets, Kabwata Cultural Village is smaller and much less overwhelming. On a Saturday afternoon, enjoy traditional dances from a local dance troupe between 1–4 p.m. The Kabwata Cultural Village is open from Monday to Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is free to enter.
PAKATI MARKET
The Pakati market is located in the parking lot of the Arcades shopping mall on Great East Road, Lusaka. You will find chitenge clothing, handbags, second-hand books, copper items, curio and souvenirs. The marketis open on Saturday and Sunday and on public holidays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
NEW SOWETO MARKET
Located on Lumumba Road with many independent vendors selling everything from fresh vegetables, dried food such as ifinkubala (caterpillars), kapenta (tiny fish) and othertraditional Zambian foods in bulk.
