KAFUNTA SAFARIS

One of our absolute favourites and all three properties are located in spectacular settings to offer the best South Luangwa experience.

KAFUNTA - eight chalets on raised wooden platforms with thatched roofs and private viewing decks. Two spacious luxury suites with extra-large en-suite bathrooms. Each suite features a mezzanine with day beds and an open balcony. All rooms have sitting areas with coffee and tea facilities and a small fridge.

NATURAL HOT TUB -  is the only natural hot tub in the Luangwa Valley, fed from a natural geothermal source on Kafunta’s grounds and with an average temperature of 37 degrees,

THREE RIVERS - has 4 tents and each  with their own private sleep out, spend a night on the plush star beds, surrounded only by the nightskies and sounds of the African bush.

If you are also going to Island Bbush Camp then we recoomend a walking safari to the camp.

ISLAND BUSH CAMP

Take a kitchen safari at this camp and see how local ingredients become delicious plates of food on their wood burning stove and minimal equipment. 

Five chalets are set up high and totally open to the front, offering views over the river. This is rustic but tasteful walking camp in the style of an age goneby.
