Including Blue Duiker, Yellow Back Duiker, Roan and Sable, and hosting a range of

qualified guides on both sides of the river. The west bank is a completely unspoilt part of the
national park.
• Night drives are also offered, enabling guests the opportunity to view nocturnal animals in
their natural environment spotting Lions and Leopards as they hunt their prey.
• River Cruises enable guests to sit back and just absorb the tranquility of the Kafue River
whilst spotting a vast variety of bird life and mammals along the riverbank.
• Walking safaris are an integral part of the Hippo experience on the east river side; getting
up close and personal with our animals brings you closer to the real pulse of the bush.
• Hippo Lodge is a bird’s paradise with specials such as Pells Fishing Owl, Rock Prattling
Cole, and the Crown Eagle.
