PINNON SAFARI CAMP - CENTRAL KAFUE NATIONAL PARK

The 4 chalets at Pinnon Safari Lodge each have locally made queen size wooden beds, polished wooden floors and a private deck overlooking the river. Large bathrooms have natural stone walls which keep things cool all year round.

The restaurant is the perfect place to relax in the heat of the day with its high thatch roof and a stunning view out across the dambo where herds of puku and impala graze on one side and the front of the restaurant overlooks the Kafue River, so a great spot for game vierwign from your chair.

The kitchen team were trained in-house by award winning chef, Toby Bradley Watson.

Packages include return road transfers from Lusaka, accommodation, all meals from dinner on day of arrival to breakfast on day of departure, all drinks, two activities per night stay and park fees.

ACTIVITIES

GAME DRIVES

Morning and afternoon/evening game drives with experienced guide, Martin make for great activites, you can choose drive in the local area or go further into the heart of the park. Kafue National Park features most of Africa’s iconic animals. Lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant and many antelope species.

BOAT TRIPS

Boating is a perfect way to end the day and watch the local wildlife which is often elephant drinking at the end of a hot day.

BIRD WATCHING

The Lodge benefits from some excellent birdwatching sites, especially along the river and Nangoma stream. Sit back and relax in a deck chair with your binoculars and let the bird life come to you. Kafue National Park is famous for birding with over 400 species in and around the park.

LOCAL WALKING SAFARI

Being located on a dambo (open plain), a short walk along the river front is a fun way to learn about the tracks and signs of animals that have been in and around camp. Learn the difference between big cats pug marks and the different species of antelope.

SUNSET AND SUNDOWNERS IN CAMP

If you arrive alte then sip your favourite drink while you watch sunset as the camp is westward facing. The sun sets beautifully behind the river offering the perfect view  and you will hear nocturnal creatures coming to life.
